My research deals with the study of the electronic properties of emerging bidimensional systems. In particular, I exploit analytical and numerical methods based on the statistical mechanics and on the quantum field theory in order to compute both static and dynamical observables, hopefully providing predictions for future experiments. The main systems I deal with are: graphene, surfaces obtained upon intercalating heavy atoms (Sn, Pb) on 4-th group’s metals (Si, Ge). In addition, I study the dynamical properties of superconducting systems.
