Federico Bisti is an experimental matter physicist specialized in the investigation of electronic structure using photoemission spectroscopy. In particular, he masters angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), having also contributed to the construction of the LOREA beamline of the ALBA synchrotron (Barcelona, Spain). He has a very good understanding of the density functional theory (DFT) with respect to its application in experimental data interpretation. His recent research interests include: two dimensional materials and their heterostructures; topological semimetals such as Dirac or Weyl ones. Finally, he leads the development of a NavARP python package (https://fbisti.gitlab.io/navarp) for the analysis of ARPES data.
