Her research activity is focused on the study of the interplanetary medium and of the interaction of the solar wind with the magnetosphere, with particular attention on the geomagnetic effects at both high and low latitude of solar wind structures, such as interplanetary shocks and coronal mass ejections (CMEs). Using data provided by the two Antarctic stations at Terra Nova Bay and Dome C, she conduct studies on ULF waves at polar latitudes, investigating generation processes and propagation paths in the magnetosphere. She also works in the analysis of the geomagnetic effects on the polar atmosphere and the climate response to the solar-geomagnetic variability.
